Itikaf Online Registration Terms & Conditions

1. In-Person Requirement: The registration for Itikaf requires filling out this form and providing a valid Government-Issued photo ID (School ID for Youth) at the Masjid office. Registrants must provide an emergency contact who can receive and drop off belongings.
2. Availability: Itikaf registration is available for brothers only.
3. Short-Term Itikaf: ICA may decide to open up extra space for short-term Itikaf (1 to 3 days or over weekends). In that case, those signed up will be reached out via email on a first-come, first-served basis.
4. Priority: Persons staying for the full ten days will be given priority over those staying for shorter durations.
5. Self-Reliance: The person sitting for Itikaf must be self-reliant (not needing others' assistance to function).
6. Age Limits (Unaccompanied): For youth staying alone, the Itikaf age limit is 20 years old or above on registration day.
7. Age Limits (Accompanied): For youth or young kids staying with a parent, the age limit is 14 years old or above on the registration day.
8. Separate Registrations: Younger kids will not be allowed to stay with signing parents or older friends. Each person must register separately.
9. Capacity: Space is limited, and signup is on a first-come, first-served basis.
10. Sleeping Arrangements: ICA will allocate an area for Itikaf. Brothers staying in the masjid will use ONLY the allocated area for sleeping. No bedding/pillows will be allowed outside the designated area.

11. Prayer Times: During prayer times, no sleeping or lying down will be allowed.
12. Shower Facilities: Please note that bathing or showering is not permitted, as the ICA bathrooms are not equipped to accommodate that use. Registrants should plan accordingly for their hygiene needs within the constraints of the facility.
13. Congregation Courtesy: As Adhan is called, beds must be rolled and stored neatly in a corner to accommodate the congregation (especially during Jummah, Maghrib, and Isha).
14. Food & Dining:
    • Food is not allowed in prayer halls. Temporary permission is granted to eat in the Itikaf area.
    • In the Itikaf area, a plastic sheet must be laid before sitting for Suhoor or Iftar.
    • Providing food is not the masjid's responsibility.
    • No warmers, cookers, or heaters are allowed in the Itikaf area.
    • Food is to be arranged by those staying for Itikaf and delivered by their families or friends. General ICA congregants may also provide food but cannot be counted upon.
    • Brothers may eat in their designated area. It is the registrant's responsibility to clean up after meals and prepare the area for prayer. No storage of leftover food is allowed in that area.
    • Use the masjid's refrigerator for temporarily storing food that must be consumed between Iftar and Suhoor the same day. Put your name on your food. ICA is not responsible if food is consumed by someone else or lost.
    • Make sure you empty/remove your food daily from the refrigerator as volunteers are tasked to clean the refrigerators periodically.
15. Cell Phones:
    • You can keep cell phones with you, but they must remain on silent.
    • No phone calls are allowed in the masjid praying or Itikaf areas.
    • Gaming and texting are not allowed.
16. Respect: Be respectful to each other, masjid volunteers, and management. Make Itikaf a well-rewarding experience for all.
17. Discipline: ICA management reserves the right to eject someone from Itikaf for discipline violations and may not permit them to participate in the future.
18. Amendments: ICA reserves the right to amend these rules anytime without prior notice.
